Hi I’m Claire and I run Dorset Scents. Dorset Scents began during lockdown, towards the end of 2020.

I’d previously spent most of my working life in Travel and still today Travel is a huge passion that runs through me. Being furloughed gave me lots of time to reflect on work/ life balance especially as my son was still so young.

Alongside this, my husband and I had bought a house that needed major renovations and through the work we’ve done together on our home, my passion for home décor and fragrance grew stronger and stronger. Dorset Scents really was a real ‘light bulb moment’ for me and I couldn’t wait to get started!

My vision from the start was to make sure my new business had a connection to the beautiful county that I live in. I absolutely love Dorset and feel so lucky to live here. You can find links to Dorset in some of my wax melts and candles and obviously the business name.

I’m proud to say that Dorset Scents is still going strong today. Lots of new products have launched since it began and more to follow. My products are made using natural soy wax and a lot of time and research is spent into sourcing products that are kind to animals and the environment, including our packaging.
